There isn’t a single better place to spend 4th of July weekend than in Arizona’s hometown: Payson. Come enjoy family fun and gorgeous weather. If you’ve been before, you know that it’s magical. If you’ve never been, what are you waiting for? Make this 4th of July one to remember.
Monday, July 4th Schedule
Join us for the following free activities taking place at Green Valley Park
There will be no alcohol served or allowed at Green Valley Park. This rule is strictly enforced by staff and Law Enforcement. Violators may be asked to leave the park and/or face charges.
There will be limited parking available at Green Valley Park on July 4th. Please plan accordingly by accessing THIS MAP. As a reminder, it is a violation of ARS code 28-873 to block private driveways. We appreciate you abiding by “NO PARKING” signs and staff’s requests.
There will be a shuttle service to Green Valley Park from Payson High School beginning at 4pm and ending at 9:30pm. Please plan accordingly, especially if you are in need of Handicap-Accessible parking.
Kid & Family Games
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Green Valley Park
All kids are welcome to play the “classics”., each beginning on the hour.
Pie Eating Contest
3:30 PM – Green Valley Park
Both adults and kids are welcome to participate in this fun, American game. make sure you come hungry! Ages 13 & under at 3pm, ages 14+ at 3:30. *Must sign waiver prior to participation. If under 18, accompanying parent/ guardian signature required.
Live Music By Take Cover
4 PM – GVP Amphitheater
Sit on the grass and enjoy popular cover songs, or get up and dance! Either way, it’s a good ole time.
Fireworks Over The Lake
8:30 PM – Green Valley Park
It’s what everyone has been waiting for! Enjoy a firework show like you’ve never seen before reflected over the lake.

A few more things...
- Dogs are welcome as long as they are mild-mannered. Town ordinances require that they must be leashed at all times.
- Public consumption of alcohol is prohibited in the park and at all listed events.
- Staking is not allowed in the park. If you bring a canopy, please be prepared to weigh it down with sand or another weight. Stakes cannot be used.
