“I’ve never seen a sky so clear!”
“I have been to many places in Arizona including the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Tucson. None of them truly have the “wow factor” like Payson! On our trip, we experienced a variety of activities. On our first night, we were in awe of the breathtaking sunset that happened on the rim just a ten minute walk from our camp site. The pine trees glowed hundreds of miles away. That night we also sat outside late to see the stars light up the sky. I’ve never seen a sky so clear! Later on, a quick drive up the mountain took us to panoramic views that are just as good, if not better, than the Grand Canyon. If you’re looking for breathtaking beauty, Payson is the place to experience that.”
“We visited the Rim Country Museum and saw the Zane Grey Cabin. If you’re into local history like me, you’ll love getting the tour of this place. After we learned about Zane Grey’s life, we had to buy some Zane Grey books! I loved getting the opportunity to explore Payson. It’s a very special & unique town just two hours north of us in the Valley. Everyone should take the time to visit the Rim Country!”

“For a first time camper, Payson was the perfect spot. It was beautiful weather, spectacular views, and so many outdoor activities to try. Kayaking was my favorite activity. It was so fun because my husband and I did the double kayak so we had to work together to get it moving. We were laughing so hard by the end of it! I loved getting to camp in a camper, sit by a campfire while roasting marshmallows and getting to spend time with friends! I can’t wait for my next adventure in Payson!”

Adventure On The Rim
The first night was beautiful and the stars lit up the dark sky. Brooks and I were stargazing and we even saw two shooting stars. Saturday morning started breakfast at the trailer, followed by kayaking at Woods Canyon Lake. The scenery is amazing around the lake!
We drove to an extremely scenic spot on the rim. It has a jaw dropping view of the forest below. It makes you appreciate the beauty Arizona has to offer. We ended the night with a nice campfire and s’mores to top it off.
